8:30- 8:45	Introduction	Get plugged in, have some coffee, and get a sense of why we're here.
8:45- 10:30	What's New?	What technologies are available for us to use now? What has changed since the last weTeach project? What's on the horizon for distance delivery? Potential topics: SOE Podcast server New desktop video technologies (VideoANT, InqScribe, ScreenFlow, Screenium) New videoconferencing possibilities (Donna Rohwer, VCS) Google Docs, Calendar New Blackboard revisions
10:30- 10:45	Break	Break
10:45- Noon	What's Needed?	Our chance to rethink our strategies for distance delivery. A discussion/demonstration of promising practices and frustrations with regard to experiences we have had in distance classes. This will help us plan our agenda for the rest of the weTeach 09 project. What has been working in distance classes? What has NOT been working? What would you be doing if you knew how? What's on your wish list, even if it hasn't been invented yet? How are students engaged in your class when they are not at a class meeting? Has your experience with distance classes changed how you teach on-campus?
Noon- 12:45	Lunch	Catered lunch
12:45- 2:00	Strategies for Elluminate	PowerPoint for whiteboards; Skitch; polling in class; linking to Elluminate through Blackboard; session management; application sharing; managing non-Elluminate participants
2:00- 3:00	Strategies for Blackboard	Embedding Google Docs; using the gradebook; managing menus for efficient access; new Blackboard features
3:00- 3:15	Break	Break, snack.
3:15- 4:30	TBA	This session will be developed in response to quesitons or problems that have been raised during the day. We may have more than one concurrent session, or several shorter ones. We'll also plan for subsequent Friday sessions at this time.
